A protest demonstration was organized in front of the Indian Embassy in Vienna on Saturday, October 25, at 4:00 PM, on the occasion of Kashmir Black Day, October 27, under the leadership of Chairman Kashmir Freedom Front Austria Professor Musarat Shaukat Awan. Pakistani and Kashmiri communities gathered in front of the Indian Embassy to express solidarity with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters and to protest against India’s atrocities. On this occasion, the protesters were carrying banners, Kashmiri flags and Pakistan flags, which had prominent messages that the oppression in Kashmir should be ended.
The demonstration began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. On this occasion, various speakers said that human rights violations are taking place in Kashmir and the Modi government is continuously ignoring UNO resolutions. Now it is time to give a befitting reply to India.
Chairman Kashmir Freedom Front Austria Professor Musarat Shaukat Awan, while mentioning the war between Pakistan and India, said that India imposed war on the entire region, Pakistan proved that there will be no compromise on honor and dignity, Operation Bunyan al-Marsus was launched against Indian aggression, Pakistan’s armed forces shot down 6 Indian warplanes. If any aggression is carried out in the future, it will be responded to in a befitting manner. We also want to tell Afghanistan that it should stand behind India and end terrorism in its Muslim brothers and Pakistan. The caretaker government in Afghanistan is of the Taliban and terrorism is being spread in Pakistan through Afghanistan, we strongly condemn it. Kashmir is the lifeblood of Pakistan. Our protests will continue until the Kashmiris are free. It is now included in the diplomatic policy of the Pakistani government that Pakistan always stands with the Kashmiri people.
Human rights activist Michael Proebsting said that Muslims and other minorities across India are suffering the consequences of the BJP/RSS plan to turn India into a Hindu Rashtra. We strongly condemn the way Israel is spreading terrorism and killing innocent people in Palestine. He called on the international community to raise its voice in support of the people of IIOJK who have been deprived of their right to self-determination. The issue of Palestine and Kashmir is the same. Where lives are being lost and oppression is happening. We want the freedom of Palestine and Kashmir to happen as soon as possible so that the bloodshed that is happening there stops.
Azhar Shah and Alhaj Khawaja Naseem said. India has adopted a diabolical attempt to establish dominance over the unarmed Kashmiris through its armed forces in the name of its so-called constitution through illegal measures. Condemning the worst human rights violations in Kashmir, India’s provocative actions on the civilian population, we want to draw the attention of the world that the people of Kashmir have been under Indian occupation for seven decades and have been struggling for the right to self-determination for seven decades, Kashmiris including women and children are making sacrifices.
He further said that the attempt to equate India’s freedom struggle with terrorism cannot deceive the world and the decades-long Indian oppression has completely failed to extinguish the love of freedom of the Kashmiris. Pakistan will continue to provide all kinds of diplomatic, political and moral support to the people of IIOJK, he also referred to India’s aggressive policies and hegemonic ambitions, which are a serious threat to peace and stability in South Asia. He further said that Pakistan is committed to a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
The speakers highlighted how India’s Hindu extremist BJP/RSS government is bent on implementing an ethno-fascist agenda through policies aimed at transforming the demographic makeup of IIOJK from a Muslim majority to a Hindu majority state and erasing its distinct identity.
