Chairman EU-Pak Friendship Federation Europe, Dr. Perveiz Iqbal Lohsar (T.Kt), Meets with Michael Gahler, Member of the European Parliament

Dr. Perveiz Iqbal Lohsar (T.Kt), Chairman of the EU-Pak Friendship Federation Europe, met with Michael Gahler, Member of EU Foreign Affairs/Security and Defence Committees of the European Parliament, at the EU Headquarters in Brussels.

During their discussion, Dr. Lohsar provided an overview of the current situation between Pakistan and India.

Michael Gahler commended the patience and professional approach of the Pakistan Army during the conflict in May 2025, highlighting their strategy of avoiding attacks on civilian areas.

Gahler reaffirmed that the EU considers Pakistan a valued partner and noted that Pakistan’s GSP Plus status remains intact.

Having served as a Member of the European Parliament for 25 years and elected for a fifth consecutive term, Gahler previously visited Pakistan as an EU election observer in 2008 and 2013.

Gahler also expressed his commitment to attending a seminar organized by the EU-Pak Friendship Federation Europe in the coming days and confirmed his plans to visit Pakistan soon.
