Austria(Daily Roshni News International….Report: Muhammad Amir Siddique Journalist Vienna Austria)On August 14, on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day, a flag hoisting ceremony was organized at the Embassy of Pakistan in Vienna, Austria under the patronage of His Excellency Ambassador of Pakistan Muhammad Kamran Akhtar, in which women, children and adults of the Pakistani community in Austria participated in the ceremony from different cities across Austria and expressed their love for their beloved homeland.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Austria, Muhammad Kamran Akhtar, hoisted the national green crescent flag and read out the messages of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan to the nation on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day. Earlier, the Independence Day celebration ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Manzoor Ahmed. Head of Chancery Adeel Khan Afridi, who performed the duties of the stage secretary, congratulated the Pakistani community on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day and thanked them for participating in the ceremony.

Addressing the audience at the 78th Independence Day celebration, the Ambassador of Pakistan paid tribute to the glorious struggle of the founders of Pakistan and the visionary and wise leadership of Quaid-e-Azam. He reiterated the nation’s resolve to implement Quaid-e-Azam’s vision in building Pakistan as a democratic, progressive and forward-looking Islamic country. He also highlighted Pakistan’s efforts for peace and stability in South Asia, as well as its success in defeating terrorism through determination and resilience. He urged the Pakistani community to remain united and peacefully confront the negative and provocative propaganda against Pakistan. Prayers were offered for the security, progress and prosperity of Pakistan. At the end of the ceremony, the Ambassador of Pakistan, along with women, children and adults of the Pakistani community, cut the birthday cake of Pakistan.
