Pakistan’s Response to the Pahalgam Attack: A Call for Truth and Responsibility:

Austria(Daily Roshni news International)Pakistan strongly condemns the recent attack in Pahalgam and mourns the loss of innocent lives. While we offer our condolences, we categorically reject any involvement in the incident. Pakistan has long upheld a firm policy of zero tolerance for terrorism, having dismantled terrorist networks within its borders. Ironically, it is India that often uses terrorism-related events to further political and strategic agendas.
Pakistan has been a frontline victim of terrorism, losing over 70,000 citizens in the past two decades. Unlike India, which has used the global war on terror to suppress legitimate struggles- such as that of the Kashmiri people – Pakistan continues to battle extremism daily.
The ongoing oppression in Kashmir, despite decades of UN-endorsed calls for self-determination, has led to indigenous resistance, which India unjustly labels as terrorism.
India has a pattern of exploiting such attacks to implement controversial policies, like the revocation of Article 370 or the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty. The timing of these attacks-often during major political events-raises serious questions. Despite heavy military presence and surveillance in Kashmir, India failed to prevent the Pahalgam incident, pointing to a major intelligence lapse. Rather than accepting responsibility, India resorts to scapegoating Pakistan-without any evidence.
The diplomatic and trade-related actions taken by India following the attack are disproportionate, irresponsible, and hurt people-to-people contact. More dangerously. India’s escalating rhetoric threatens regional peace, especially in a nuclear-armed region like South Asia.
We call on the international community to avoid endorsing India’s aggressive narrative blindly. India must be held accountable for its disregard for international treaties, selective outrage, and actions that risk plunging the region into conflict. Pakistan remains committed to peace and to its fight against terrorism-but we will respond decisively to any provocation that threatens our sovereignty.
In conclusion, Pakistan urges an impartial investigation into the attack, rejects baseless accusations, and reaffirms its commitment to regional stability, justice, and the rights of the Kashmiri people.
