A ceremony was held at the Pakistan Embassy in Vienna on August 5, Monday 2024 at five o’clock in the evening regarding Kashmir Exploitation Day. On August 5, 2019, India made Kashmir its part by force and immorally and illegally, and on August 5, Kashmiri Pakistanis and Kashmiri communities celebrate Solidarity Day all over the world. In this regard, Pakistan Embassy in Vienna and various organizations of the Pakistani community with cooperation, a ceremony was organized in the Embassy in connection with the Day of Exploitation under the patronage of the Ambassador of Pakistan Muhammad Kamran Akhtar Malik. A large number of Pakistanis in Austria, members of the Kashmiri community, representatives of the media and educational institutions participated in the event. The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by the Ambassador of Pakistan (PA) Mohammad Manzoor Riaz. Third Secretary Hasan Abbas performed the duties of the stage secretary and welcomed the participants to the event and thanked the Pakistani community for their participation. In the ceremony, the messages to the public regarding August 5 issued by the President of Pakistan Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Mian Shahbaz Sharif and the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Pakistan Mr. Ishaq Dar were read to the community by the Ambassador of Pakistan Muhammad Kamran Akhtar Malik. Hear it a short documentary highlighting the Kashmir issue was screened. Various speakers at the Kashmir Exploitation Day event, scholar former diplomat Hayat Mehdi, President of European Youth Association Arif Sen, Dr. Izzat Awad, Professor Malik Shaukat Awan, Dr. Muhammad Naeem Mohsin and Dr. Qaiser Maqbool on August 5, 2019 India’s illegal and unilateral action. Condemned the measures followed by the unprecedented military siege and restrictions on the fundamental rights and freedoms of the Kashmiri people. They paid tribute to the sacrifices of the people of IIOJK and expressed his firm support for their heroic struggle to achieve their inalienable right to self-determination. They urged the international community to play its role in implementing the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council on Jammu and Kashmir for sustainable peace and stability in South Asia. At the end, refreshments were arranged for the participants at the embassy.
