The Embassy of Pakistan in Vienna celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day and Defense Day event.

In the Austrian capital of Vienna, a Sufi Qawali program was organized by the Embassy of Pakistan in Vienna celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day and Defense Day. A large number of people from the community participated in the program. His Excellency Ambassador of Pakistan to Austria Muhammad Kamran Akhtar was the chief guest, while Europe’s leading Sufi musician Qadeer Ahmed Khan and his group entertained the audience with national songs and Qawali. The event was held at the local hall in Vienna. The Embassy of Pakistan in Vienna doubled the joy of Pakistan’s independence in the program. A large number of people from the international and Pakistani community participated in the program, including children, families and the elderly.
This program was not only an occasion for celebration but also a symbol of unity and love for the country of the Pakistani community in Austria. Europe’s leading Sufi musician Qadeer Ahmed Khan and his group performed their art and entertained the audience. They won the hearts of the audience by presenting traditional songs and qawwalis in their melodious voice. Everyone was seen dancing in joy. This scene highlighted the deep attachment and love of the Pakistani community for their country.
At the ceremony, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Austria Muhammad Kamran Akhtar appreciated the sentiments of the community. He further said that Pakistan has given a clear message to the world that the Pakistani nation knows how to fully protect its freedom and defense. The Ambassador of Pakistan described Pakistan as a miracle of history that came into existence as a result of the heroic struggle of our founders for freedom. He paid tribute to the brilliant success of the Pakistan Armed Forces in “Operation Banyan Al-Marsoos” and reiterated the commitment to protect the country’s defense and sovereignty. The Ambassador of Pakistan highlighted the Defense Day which stood like a solid rock in thwarting Indian aggression on September 6, 1965. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs and their families and emphasized that this day is a day of affirmation of our resolve to defend Pakistan at all costs. He highlighted that Pakistan lives in a difficult geo-strategic neighborhood that has numerous threats and challenges. Ambassador said that today’s security environment has changed significantly and in addition to traditional and non-traditional threats, new challenges like hybrid warfare have also emerged which not only have a defensive impact on a country but also try to weaken the spirit and morale of the nation. At the end of the program, food was arranged for the Pakistani community.
