Designs for New Euro Banknotes Unveiled to the Public

Designs for the new Euro banknotes have been unveiled to the public. The European Central Bank (ECB) has released ten selected designs for the upcoming series of Euro banknotes, developed around two central themes: “European Culture” and “Rivers and Birds.”

The new designs highlight European culture, shared identity, natural landscapes, rivers, and birds. In addition to enhancing security features, the new banknotes are designed to be more durable and user-friendly for the visually impaired.

According to the European Central Bank, the public can submit their feedback on these design proposals until September 21, 2026, with a decision on the final design expected by the end of this year. The new banknotes will not enter the market immediately; instead, following production and testing, they will be introduced into circulation in phases over the coming years.
