Austria (Daily Roshni News International….Report: Muhammad Amir Siddique Journalist Vienna Austria) The Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the UN in Vienna, jointly with Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC),hosted side event on the margins of IAEA’s 70th General Conference: “Building Resilient Future through Clean Energy and Water Resource Management. The event featured an inaugural address by Dr. Raja Ali Raza Anwar, Chairman, PAEC, followed by remarks from the Chief Guest, Mr. Ge Deng, Director, Division for Asia and the Pacific, IAEA Department of Technical Cooperation.

Pakistani technical presentations were delivered respectively by Mr. Mobashir Ali Shah (DG, International Affairs, PAEC), Dr. Ghiyas Ud Din (Minister Technical, Permanent Mission of Pakistan), and Mr. Shahid Rashid (Member Executive, PNRA). Session concluded with closing remarks by H.E. Mr. Mohammad Kamran Akhtar Malik, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Pakistan.

The event showcased Pakistan’s capabilities in nuclear energy, isotope hydrology, and water resource management, alongside its expertise in nuclear power generation and nuclear safety & security regulatory matters — underpinned by over five decades of an impeccable record of safe and secure operation of nuclear power plants. The event reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued commitment to the peaceful applications of nuclear technology.
